The Lithuanian Government and tax authorities have introduced tax relief measures in order to help individuals and businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lithuanian State Tax Inspectorate (STI) has announced a list of taxpayers directly affected by COVID-19 measures, including the countrywide quarantine they are currently experiencing. Those listed will automatically be given the following aids:

  • Suspension on the collection of unpaid taxes
  • Released from late payment interest
  • No interest will apply if a tax loan agreement is concluded

The list of business taxpayers eligible for these reliefs can be found on the State Tax Inspectorate (STI) website. Similar measures will also apply to social security payments.

Taxpayers not listed can still apply to the tax authorities for the reliefs by submitting a simplified application.

Please note, these measures will only be valid until the extreme measures caused by COVID-19 have ended.

More information can be found on the State Tax Inspectorate (STI) website.
