Over the past four years, Aberdeen Inspired has delivered a number of improvements to the city centre through marketing, visual enhancements and increasing the city’s levels of safety.
The Business Improvement District (BID) encompasses the heart of the city and includes the main retail, office and leisure spaces. Aberdeen Inspired acts as a single voice for more than 750 businesses within the BID, and the organisation is therefore able to have an influence on major issues impacting the area.
Thanks to the efforts of Aberdeen Inspired, Aberdeen is the only city in the UK to have been awarded a purple flag for nightlife. The purple flag is a type of accreditation which demonstrates that rigorous standards, management processes and good practice have been employed to help transform town and city centres into safer night time environments.
