We are delighted to announce that our new partnership with charity Career Ready has launched in Scotland, as we set out on a development journey with three pupils across Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
We will be supporting Career Ready with their social inclusion and mobility objectives for young people (school age S5/S6) through their programme of mentoring. The pupils will work with an assigned mentor to learn about our business, find out more about career opportunities and develop key skills for their future world of work. The programme also includes a paid 4-week summer workplace internship for each of the pupils.
This is a fantastic programme that offers pupils the chance to gain invaluable hands on experience in the business environment and equally importantly to start to build a network of contacts.

Following the launch in Aberdeen, we have been matched with Victory from Cults Academy working with Chris Clark from our Technology team, and we’ll be matching with our Edinburgh and Glasgow pupils in the coming weeks.
Career Ready works directly with local schools to identify students in socioeconomic circumstances that may make it more difficult to access networks and opportunities and then connect them with people from organisations like ours, who can help them to learn about the world of work, realise their potential and make informed career choices.
The benefits are tangible - 98% of young people who participate in the Career Ready programme proceed to positive destinations in education or employment. The programme also provides activpayroll an opportunity to raise awareness of career opportunities available in our organisation and to attract and develop future talent.
