We are very proud to be a team that holds a shared interest in helping improve lives. By acknowledging the struggles many face, every year we commit to raising vital funds for a range of charities and providing voluntary services to numerous deserving organisations.
Pennies for Promise is a UK payroll giving scheme that allows an employee to make a donation to a charity directly from their net pay. The employee’s net pay is rounded down to the nearest pound and the remaining pennies are donated to a charity of their choice. Their small donation of a few pennies each month is part of a large collective donation. If everyone within your company registers for the payroll donation scheme, the collective amount of pennies donated will make a significant difference to the charities receiving it..
Pennies for Promise is organised and administrated by activpayroll, who donate the resources and time needed to run the scheme. This donation in kind ensures that 100% of donated funds go directly to charity, unlike other payroll giving schemes that deduct administrative costs from funds.
Pennies for Promise is an easy to implement scheme which can become the focal point of your corporate social responsibility plan to support the communities that your organisation operates within. It is also a great way for employers to demonstrate their commitment to causes that their employees care about.
A summary of the benefits for your organisation:
We truly recognise the importance of stimulating local commerce in the communities we operate in. For this reason, we proudly support a number of organisations and are committed to helping them grow and continue to deliver their great work.
How we made a difference:
activpayroll has been a corporate supporter of Charlie House since 2018. They are currently very kindly covering the cost of payroll for Charlie House employees and staff at our new ReCHarge Café. By supporting us in this way, we can use the money saved to further support babies, children and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions in the North-east.
The team have also supported us in other ways including the purchase of two manual slings for our families to use for lifting purposes and also sponsored an activity club which offered children the chance to learn circus skills. Members of the activpayroll team also attended and helped on the day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team for their invaluable and on-going support.
This month, activpayroll has been embracing the season of goodwill and giving back to those that need it most. From shoebox appeals to free meals, find out how the team has been helping the less fortunate across three different continents.
