#activAlison made 2016 a year to remember!

In 2016, Alison Sellar, CEO of activpayroll, participated in two major cycling events across three countries to raise funds for our four chosen charities.

Ride the North

In August 2016, Alison took part in Ride the North, a two day cycle covering 281 km through the Grampian Highlands. The event began in the Aberdeenshire village of Rhynie and continued through the foothills of the Cairngorms finishing at Culloden, just to the East of Inverness. Day two started at Culloden and finished back in Rhynie, cycling via Forres and Elgin.

Vietnam to Cambodia

In November 2016, Alison travelled to South East Asia to take part in her second and most challenging cycle of 2016. She embarked on a 450 km cycle starting in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City on November 26th and finished at the world heritage site of Angkor Wat in Cambodia on December 2nd. It was a gruelling challenge with some days of the trip covering 100 km of cycling on very uneven ground and extreme heat.

Our very own Kimberly Morrison took on some incredible challenges

In 2016, Kimberly took part in nine different charity events to raise funds for Friends of Anchor, North East of Scotland's cancer and haematology unit.

10 Years ago, our UK Service Delivery Manager Kimberly Morrison was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, but thanks to the medical team in Houston, Texas, family and friends she's still with us today. To thank all of those who help fight cancer on a day to day basis, we all joined together to plan on battling cancer over the nine events.
