activpayroll staff donate all Easter eggs to the local charity 'Cash for Kids' to help disadvantaged children.

Last week has brought out the particularly charitable nature of activpayroll employees; with numerous food donations and a company wide appeal to donate Easter eggs to disabled and disadvantaged kids.

Earlier this week Aberdeen’s Instant Neighbour launched an urgent appeal for food after it completely ran out. Kimberly Morrison, UK Service Delivery Manager of activpayroll, said:

I was heartbroken to read the article about the food bank’s appeal, hence I asked my colleagues to help by making a cash or food donation. I believe that, as a team, we did great and everyone was willing to make an effort for those pensioners, young families and many others struggling at the end of each month.

activpayroll were able to pull together and collect a total of £300 worth of food to donate to the bank.

Alison Sellar, Chief Executive Officer of activpayroll, added:

Reading about Instant Neighbour’s struggle for support was terrible considering the extraordinary work they do for the vulnerable people in our local community. I really hope our donation will help significantly, but most importantly get more Aberdeen & North-East businesses involved and do the same.

This appeal follows activpayroll’s earlier efforts this month to make a difference; this year, our Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Singapore offices gave up their Easter eggs, a gift from the Board of Directors, and gave them to Northsound Cash for Kids instead.

Cash for Kids helps disabled and disadvantaged children and young people under 18 throughout the Grampian area.

The activpayroll Easter egg donation went to the children of POWIS Community Project which were extremely grateful as well as the community and youth workers there.
