activpayroll is delighted to be shortlisted for the ‘Tremendous Training and Development’ award at this year’s cHeRries Awards.

The award ceremony, now in its ninth year, will take place on Thursday 2nd June in the Boyd Orr Suite at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate specialists in the field of human resources, recruitment and training in the North East of Scotland.

The ‘Tremendous Training and Development’ award, sponsored by Falck Safety Services UK, acknowledges those who have demonstrated a strong commitment to designing and delivering cohesive and innovative training and development programmes and initiatives for their organisation in the last year.

In 2015, activpayroll launched the very first in-house payroll training academy in Scotland in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) after identifying a need to grow and encourage its employees through professional development. The training academy allows employees to receive on the job training regardless of their career or educational background. The training academy is just one in a series of highlights that have been delivered by the activpayroll HR team in the past year.

Alison Sellar, CEO of activpayroll, commented on the recent nomination: “The team and I are thrilled to be shortlisted for this award; it’s great to see that we are being recognised for our commitment towards strengthening our employee’s professional development. I’m really looking forward to meeting the judges and being interviewed at our activpayroll headquarters in the run up to the event. A lot of hard work has gone into improving our team’s professional ability and it would be fantastic to see this hard work acknowledged at the cHeRries awards.”
