Trainee Business Analyst

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Trainee Business Analyst shall be responsible for assisting the Technical Implementation Team in the successful implementation and support of the activ8 application globally.

The Trainee Business Analyst shall be responsible for assisting with the testing and verification of any configuration and customisation effort undertaken for a client is fit for purpose.

The Trainee Business Analyst shall be responsible for assisting the Business Analyst Team in the creation and maintenance of all project, product and development related documentation.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Principal Duties

  • Supporting the Technical Implementation Team with day to day running and implementation of all technology platforms
  • Support the Technical Implementation Team with data collation, consolidation and analysis as part of the implementation of each technology platform
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of project, product and development related documentation
  • Support the Technical Implementation Team and activTechnology Team with the introduction and roll out of new applications and business processes
  • Performing System Data Interface Mapping and System Integration Testing
  • Providing support to the Global Projects and Payroll Teams

Service Excellence

  • Responding efficiently to queries (internally and externally) via email and telephone
  • Ensuring that any issues/problems are escalated appropriately

Team Focus

  • Management and prioritization of allocated work on a day to day basis
  • Covering for the Technical Implementation Manager or Business Analyst when they are absent or unavailable
  • Providing support to Technical Implementation Manager and Business Analysts
  • Providing support to Global Projects and payroll teams

Competencies 

  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Good level of IT literacy; proficient in the use of the Internet and Office 2010 Applications – Word and Excel
  • Competent oral and written communication skills – ensuring detailed requirement gathering with clients
  • High level of accuracy - documenting configuration work accurately.
  • A high level of personal drive and self-motivation with an ability to work in isolation when required
  • A willingness to learn new tasks and be flexible
  • Ability to balance priorities to achieve results
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with customers
  • Confidence to conduct training, demonstrations and meetings when required
  • Highly organised
  • Team player – This role will mean assisting the customer and liaising with the internal delivery from the Technical Implementation and activTechnology teams
