Integrations Specialist

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To assist the design and implementation of data delivery mechanisms between customer systems and activpayroll. To be a technical expert in relation to integration technologies and to manage the end-to-end implementation of customer selected integration options.

Responsible for supporting the Integrations Lead in end-to-end delivery of new strategic technology partner integration solutions, including analysis, scoping, technical design, testing, roll-out and documentation.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Principal Duties

  • Become a technical expert on the inbound and outbound integration and API technology utilised and provide dedicated technical assistance to customers undertaking integrations.
  • Work directly with customers and third parties, attending integration meetings, providing guidance and representing activpayroll as a technical expert.
  • Guide and influence customers where appropriate with decisions regarding their technical integrations.
  • Ensure that all integrations result in a high standard of data delivery, maximising the available functionality.
  • Identify change requests for technical development that will improve the integration process, or the service being offered to customers and third parties.
  • Liaise with the Development Team to design and scope enhancements to integration solutions based on Customer and Operation Team feedback.
  • Work closely with the rest of the Technology Team to maintain a good technical understanding of the core systems.
  • Support the release of new integration functionality, APIs and enhancements with customers.
  • Test enhancements & new releases, and coordinate its rollout with customers, and internal implementation and support teams.
  • Documenting inbound and outbound integration procedures and training internal support teams.
  • Maintenance and implementation of systems and data setup associated with demonstrating integration capabilities to potential and existing customers.

Service Excellence

  • Identify and manage any integration issues and provide 2nd level support to production issues relating to integration and API usage.
  • Ensuring that any issues / problems are escalated appropriately.
  • Ensuring that any work is performed in accordance with any agreed schedule.

Team Focus

  • Prioritisation of own workload on a day to day basis.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide support and guidance to Integrations Lead.
  • Covering for the Integration Lead when absent or unavailable.
  • Providing support to Global Projects and payroll teams.

Commercial Awareness

  • Identifying any process improvement areas and highlighting to Integrations Lead.
  • Showing initiative with new ideas.
  • Identifying and highlighting to Integrations Lead, ad-hoc requests and opportunities for work that would incur additional fees.

Professional & Personal Development

  • Ensure that PPR objectives are reviewed with Integrations Lead regularly.

Competencies

  • Experience in developing process documentation including process flows, user guides and technical requirements.
  • A background in Software Development or similar function is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field is desirable but can be substituted by experience.
  • Knowledge of modern integration technologies, principles and best practices.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels through reports, presentations and forming effective relationships.
  • Competent oral and written communication skill, with ability to evaluate queries and advise customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • A high level of personal drive and self-motivation with an ability to work under own initiative.
  • A willingness to learn new tasks and be flexible.
