Sian Odgers

Sian has twenty years of global payroll and banking experience. She is fully certified in both UK and US payroll practices and has extensive knowledge of global payroll.
Sian has a UK Diploma in Payroll Management (MCIPP dip) and is a USA Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
Sian previously worked in the banking industry, then progressed to specialise in payroll affairs. Sian worked for a Pharmaceutical global major, running their global payroll team. She project managed a major organisational change, to centralise their payroll function, improving the efficiency of their global operations. Sian has extensive Oil & Gas experience, including being a key member of the global payroll team at Global Santa Fe, managing the affairs of their globally mobile employees.
With her extensive experience of American business, Sian launched the activpayroll Houston office and developed the business there for six months before moving back to the UK headquarters to lead our Global Payroll team and be a member of the activpayroll board.
Sian has worked in several industries, including banking, pharmaceutical and the oil and gas industry, allowing her to truly understand our client’s perspective and apply cross-pollination of best practise.
Sian has managed and implemented major organisational change to restructure and improve payroll function in various industries, developing considerable expertise in change management and the challenges it poses. She enjoys the complex and challenging environment of global payroll operations.
Sian is also an ambitious person out with the boardroom, providing her time for global causes, in recent years being the treasurer for an extensive expedition to Kenya to improve sanitation and access to water. She’s also performed similar roles for several American charities.
